Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Liminal Initiative (“Liminal”, “we”, “us”) runs Liminal Math, an online platform for students who love mathematics. Many of our students are under 18, so we collect only what we need and keep it private. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. What we collect
- Account: email address, password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider) or Google sign-in, name and username.
- Profile: date of birth, phone number, class, school, city and state, what you are preparing for, and parent or guardian details where asked during onboarding.
- Learning activity: answers to Problem of the Day and tests, scores, ranks, forum posts and replies.
- Payments: order records (product, amount, coupon, status and Razorpay payment reference). Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay’s checkout and are never stored by us.
- Technical: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a saved light/dark preference in your browser, and basic server logs.
2. How we use it
- To create your account, run the platform and show you your progress and results.
- To register you for Chapter Zero and contact you about it (receipts, dates, results, scholarships).
- To process payments and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To moderate the forum and keep students safe.
- To improve the platform using aggregate, non-identifying statistics.
3. What is public
Other students see only your username and the posts you choose to make. Your full name, date of birth, phone number, school and guardian details are never shown on public pages.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Liminal Math:
- Supabase, for the database and sign-in.
- Razorpay, to take payments.
- Resend, to send emails such as receipts.
- Cloudflare, to store images and files.
- Our hosting provider, to serve the website.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. Payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require, even if you delete your account.
6. Your choices
You can edit your profile any time. To see, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw consent, email administrator@liminalmath.com. A parent or guardian may make the same request for a student under 18.
7. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and access is limited to the team members who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us at once if you think your account was misused.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: administrator@liminalmath.com or see our Contact page.
